Litigation and Mediation
Diane M. D’Amico is a family law attorney and trained mediator whose practice is centered on helping clients navigate complex family matters with thoughtful strategy, sound judgment, and a clear understanding of their individual goals.
Through mediation, negotiation, and litigation, she recognizes that every family and every dispute requires a different approach. She works closely with clients to identify their priorities, evaluate the legal and practical considerations affecting their matter, and determine the most effective path toward resolution.
Diane has particular experience with complex financial and parenting matters, including business and real estate valuations, custody and parenting disputes, child support and alimony, interstate removal matters, and cases involving sensitive family dynamics. She also represents clients in the preparation and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
As a trained mediator and member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, Diane offers clients a confidential and structured process for resolving difficult family matters outside of litigation. She encourages informed decision-making and creative solutions while keeping the process focused on practical and lasting resolution. Her extensive litigation experience provides an important perspective in mediation, allowing her to identify potential areas of conflict and help clients understand the legal implications of the choices before them.
When litigation is necessary, Diane brings substantial courtroom experience and a strategic approach to advocacy. She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney and has developed extensive trial experience throughout her career.
